Have you ever had a goal? A goal so personalized to YOU that even the people surrounding you daily thought 💭 “This girl is NUTS 🥜 “? Well I think I just might have shocked everyone around me with this one.

Lately, I have been trying to gain weight. I have been anticipating on gaining at least 10 pounds. Since age 16, my weight has fluctuated between 154lbs and 158lbs and I’ve come to accept this reality. The older I became and the more active I remained, I noticed my body didn’t mind pushing off a few pounds, which for anyone else, would be amazing. Not for me.

I feel when I’m under a certain weight, my head looks huge and I just don’t like that.

So when I first started this journey, it seemed as if I couldn’t get over 148lbs and no matter how much I thought I was eating more than my usual, my weight just wouldn’t budge so I started taking this protein powder. I got it from Amazon.

After two months of consistently taking extra protein, I still hadn’t really gained.

I took action. I genuinely asked the fattest guy I know, “How do I gain weight?” First thing he says is “Okay QT, there’s a healthy way and a sloppy way. Which do you want?” So I explained that I was doing the protein shakes. He interrupted me with “No! See, you need fats and carbs.” He continued with “It takes so much energy for the body to process protein and that energy is coming from the fats you do have in your body.” Pretty much, the energy it takes to digest protein takes away from the other contents in your body so if you’re a person with not that much body fat and your body is burning fat to digest protein, then technically you are losing what you’re trying to gain. Essentially he just let me know how long I had truly been working backwards. Lol. Although I do kindaa like the esthetic it gave me
